Pescadero Winter

The first rains have hit, so it’s time to start swapping hot toddy recipes! This year, the rain is so early most of the apples and pears are just now being harvested. My darling husband, after tumbling over the massive pile of gloppy wellies in the front entry–another sign of impending winter–recovered his good humor with this delightful concoction:


My apologies, I’m still learning this WordPress thing, but the details of the recipe did not make it through when this was first published! This cocktail is fresh-pressed apple juice with vodka and an ice cube. It looks exactly like what comes out of the tap right now if you don’t have an iron filter, or like Pescadero Creek on a rainy day. I’m thinking of calling it Muddy Waters. Or the Pescadero Winter. Any thoughts? Votes?
