About Me

Sweet Hollow is the name of a little neighborhood in the woods sandwiched between two state parks on the central coast of California, between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz. My husband and I moved “Over The Hill,” from the heart of Silicon Valley to the wilds of coastal San Mateo County in 2007, just after our daughter was born.

This blog is about local gardens, local food, and local times. It’s also about sharing my adventures, discoveries, and experiments in the process of learning how to be a better mother, wife, and citizen of the planet.

I’m an artist and landscape designer, principal of Greenwood Landscape Design. I’ve designed residential gardens from San Francisco to Carmel, and been featured in Backyards: A Sunset Design Guide. I’ve also appeared as a guest designer on HGTV’s Landscape Smart.
