Support Local Agriculture

Joining a Community Supported Agriculture program, or CSA, is a way of supporting local farmers by paying in advance for a share of their weekly harvest. Farmers typically will deliver boxes of produce weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. Some deliver to a pre-determined distribution point, others will deliver to your home or office.

Our local CSA opportunities include:

Blue House Farms: In addition to produce, options include pastured eggs and flowers.

Fifth Crow Farm: Specialty greens, beans, and berries. Pasture raised eggs.

Green Oaks Creek:

Potrero Nuevo Farm: Call 650-726-5700

Green Hearts Family Farm: Will deliver to your home or office, from Half Moon Bay north to San Rafael. Weekly boxes available with no commitment for $33 ea., or seasonal shares from $500/17 boxes. (831) 801-0611

Please check back often for more information about local sources of sustainably raised produce and pasture-raised meats.

In Santa Cruz:

Freewheelin’ Farm: delivers to drop sites in Santa Cruz, San Francisco, and Lafayette. Delivery by bicycle within Santa Cruz. Full season shares only, $600-$725 sliding scale.

Here is some basic information for storing fruits and vegetables.
